Tom Bedell
Tom Bedell was raised in a family with a culture of giving. His Father and Mother have set aside 10% of their income throughout their lives and today give away even more than that.
Tom has helped found a variety of organizations throughout his career to date: Government improvement organizations: The Congressional Management Foundation and The Center for Responsive Politics; aquatic resource and fishing organizations: The Future Fishermen Foundation, The Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation, and The Sports Fishing and Boating Partnership Council; local community organizations: The University of Okoboji Foundation, The Okoboji Entrepreneurial Institute and ArtsLIVE; and university projects: The Bedell Entrepreneurial Learning lab.
Tom has also been active in promoting the creation of the Sami Bedell Center for the Performing Arts, The Bedell YMCA, Dickinson County Trails, Iowa Lakeside Laboratory, the Lakes Arts Center and many other local Iowa causes.
Tom and Molly have supported the Aspen Words fest through the Aspen Writers Foundation, ACES and many other organizations in Aspen, Colorado.
In addition to supporting local NW Iowa and Aspen, Colorado area projects and conservation projects, Tom and Molly are interested in finding ways to help build a consensus for the abolition of nuclear weapons.
