Kelly is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a BSEd in English. She became a Certified Personal Trainer after 10 years of teaching at the high school level as a way to create a flexible schedule to be home with her children. Kelly's energy, combined with her love of fitness and skill of teaching, create an unparalleled experience for the members at Brandywine CrossFit. In December of 2016 Kelly obtained her CrossFit Level Two Certification and is looking forward to continue learning new coaching methods.
Wayne, a home builder and avid rugby player, has always been into fitness. A graduate of Villanova University with a BSBA, Wayne found CrossFit in 2011 and has not looked back. Having a busy career and family life, Wayne was fueled by CrossFit's model of fitness and its condensed and intense workouts...which lead him to want to share the CrossFit model with others. Having obtained his CrossFit Level One Certification, Wayne shares his love of health and fitness and experience with his classes.
Greg Strootman is currently the Program Director at Brandywine CrossFit. Since he was 6 years old he has been playing ice hockey. After graduating from Garnet Valley High School in 2008, he had the opportunity to move to Long Beach Island, NY where he played 2 years of Junior Hockey before committing to Nichols College in Massachusetts where he played 4 years of NCAA DIII hockey. He was the Assistant Captain his Junior year and Captain his Senior year. Once graduating college and his hockey career ended, he knew something was missing in his life. So, in 2015, he walked into Brandywine CrossFit and never turned back. Since joining, my love and desire to learn more about fitness and wellness has led him to pursue his Personal Training Certification from NASM in 2015. Shortly thereafter, Greg obtained his CrossFit Level 1 Certification in 2016. He is currently working towards his Opex CCP Level 1 certification and is excited to bring his knowledge gained from Opex into Brandywine and our Community. Greg's favorite lifts would are cleans and snatches.

Mike is a Level One CrossFit trainer and CrossFit Olympic Weight Lifting Certified. Mike currently works for the Garnet Valley School District teaching 5th grade. He also coaches football and wrestling for the middle school.
Growing up Helen played soccer and softball in high school. After graduating with a BA in Biology And Administration of Justice, Helen discovered running as a way to stay fit. Helen has run 5ks, 10ks and half marathons, but was always looking for a strength training program to improve her overall fitness. She would try various strength training routines at the gym but would grow bored.
Helen's husband challenged her to try Crossfit in September 2012. After the first class she was hooked. A year later Helen received her level 1 crossfit trainer. Helen never thought it was possible to do handstand push ups, robe climbs, pull ups and more. She loves the Crossfit community and that everyone is a coach and an athlete. Helen wants to grow in the Crossfit sport and help others do the same.
When not at BWCF you can find Helen, her husband Mike and daughter Claire staying active as a family enjoying the outdoors with their three weimaraners.
